THE MEKE ACADEMY
The Meke Academy is a Hawke’s Bay-based education and wellbeing programme created by Levi and Dana Armstrong to support rangatahi disengaged from mainstream schooling. Working with Te Kura, it enables youth to gain NZQA qualifications, while older students transition into study at EIT. The academy focuses on holistic development, weaving fitness, cultural identity, and kaupapa Māori into learning. Tools like the Meke Meter help track wellbeing across physical, social, and mental domains.
